The location could not be any better, across the road from the beach (watch out for the the train!) and walking distance to the penguins visit just after dusk. It was rated 3.5 stars but we have stayed at places higher rated not as good. Check in was no fuss and free WiFi so all good!
Some confusion about breakfast in the restaurant but we ate elsewhere for Brekky anyway.
the room was clean the bed was comfy and and it was nice and quiet
The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was in a handy location.
Very old and tired property.
The location, friendly service, access to nearby shops, restaurants, and beach and the comfort, cleanliness and facilities were all top rate so would highly recommend the Voyager.
Friendly staff at reception and restaurant attached (Raindrops). Excellent position across from beach.
Shower adjuster when putting shower on for child. I had to get into shower to adjust the hot/cold because I didn't want him to get burnt. I got wetter than him.
Hotel across the beach and not far from town
They can't find the baby seat for my kid.
location, 20m to the beach, good price, close to restaurants, many parking space, room is clean
Excellent location, just in front of a beach. There are so many restaurants near by the hotel. A few minutes walk to see Penguin observatory.
Very old rooms. Heating antiquated, turned on and choked on the smell of dust being heated. Window found ajar, propped open with a freezer brick!!! Lighting very very poor.
Close to shops. Raindrops restaurant. Close to beach & boardwalk.
Time it took to checkout & had to wait while desk clerk had discussion with another guest during our checkout process.
The proximity to the city centre
Train noise opposite in the early morning The small shower and toilet
The view over the water and beachfront location
The noisy freight train early am outside our window
The staff kindly supplied some extra things for us - a toaster and a few plates and knives as we had been travelling and had food to use up. The bath was a real treat and the location on the seafront could not have been better with private parking.
The wifi in the room was really weak getting a connection but then seemed ok most of the time. Affiliated with a next door restaurant and a separate cafe neither of which are open on a Sunday ! This is not great as the choice in Burnie of food is not extensive.
